Campaign Overview

Bazelevs Company (founded by Hollywood director and producer Timur Bekmambetov) sought to create an engaging and educational experience during the COVID-19 pandemic that would not only entertain users but also spread awareness about health and hygiene. The goal was to design a game that combined fun, learning, and social responsibility.

To achieve this, GamifyCat was tasked with designing and developing a mobile and web application called Stop Virus. The game encouraged users to “Help stop the expansion of the virus. Catch the virus, score points, and share with your friends!” It was made accessible on both iOS, Android, and web platforms, ensuring broad reach and engagement.

Problem

Bazelevs wanted to go beyond traditional messaging about COVID-19 by creating an interactive experience that would captivate users and reinforce important health tips during a challenging time.

The challenge was to design a game that would both entertain and educate players, linking the in-game experience to real-world advice on hygiene and health. Additionally, the game needed to offer players incentives to continue engaging and share their progress with others.

Solution

The Stop Virus game provided a fun and educational approach to learning about health during the pandemic. The game featured a virus on the screen that players had to tap or click to eliminate. As they progressed, players encountered questions related to hygiene and health, which they had to answer to continue advancing in the game.

Players who successfully completed the game and scored enough points were rewarded with a promo code for free registration to an online cinema, incentivizing them to keep playing and improving their scores. This blend of entertainment and education created a memorable experience for users.

Outcome

The Stop Virus game attracted a large audience by successfully combining educational and gaming elements. Users reported increased knowledge of precautions and expressed positive feedback on the presentation format.
